Disney Cruise Line coming to Miami

Disney Cruise Line is coming to Miami, bringing Mickey and Minnie and a host of other characters.

Disney announced Tuesday that it will sail from Miami for the first time beginning December 2012. Through May 2013, the Disney Wonder will call Miami home for a series of four- and five-night sailings from Miami to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. The series will start with one six-night cruise and one seven-night cruise from Port of Miami.

This is not unexpected after they cancelled the Wonder sailings to the west coast of Mexico.

If they have a successful 2012 season in Alaska, and the end of this period they should have a Panama Cruise to bring the ship back to Seattle for another Alaska season.

I think it will sell well, just because it hasn't been in Miami before, but I find the itineraries somewhat dull. I am more excited about the Mediterranean itineraries.
