I think this is similar to the recent "Is Disney your favorite cruise line?" (Is Disney your favorite cruise line?) poll. I expect the results to be about the same, since there seem to be very few Disney cruise fans on CruiseLineFans, and definitely few here who have ever even sailed on DCL.
The unfortunate thing is that once again this will likely not help CruiseLineFans to gain DCL fans who will bring more activity to this category here. I suggested to several friends that they join CLF. All but one declined, having taken a look at the other poll plus the serious lack of activity from actual DCL cruisers.
I love everything about CLF except the "not really DCL fans here" atmosphere and the frequent misconceptions about Disney cruising. I am a College of Disney Knowledge trained Disney Specialist and Disney Cruise Line Specialist (but no longer work as a TA) whose first cruise was a Disney Cruise College. My 15th & 16th are coming up on Disney Dream in February and Disney Fantasy in April. I will be solo on the Dream and Concierge on both. I planned to write trip reports with lots of photos, from my "adult-only, no kids" point of view. But if this forum keeps reminding everyone that DCL is not popular or desired here, perhaps I shouldn't bother.
Again, CLF is WONDERFUL, but I doubt these polls will attract any new Disney fans or activity. I hope I won't be exiled for speaking my mind, but I've had such hopes for the growth of the DCL section of CLF.![]()

Shari .... One of the main reasons for this poll is to determine if people with negative opinions of Disney have actually cruised on Disney!
Please, never hesitate to speak your mind ... especially on any of my polls or posts.
Looking forward to seeing your trip reports with lots of pictures!![]()

While Disney is one of the cruise line's we need more active members within - it's a highly trafficked portion of the site - meaning there's real interest out there and people are coming here to read information about Disney Cruise Lines.
SO - the more great information you continue to share - the better. Disney Cruise Lines is often a target of research for me personally - I have young children, know they would LOVE it and having a real interest in all the design and technology that goes into the Disney Cruise Line experience. I'd wager more time & energy is expended on creating the DCL cruise experience than any other out there - luxury lines included.
Also - you'll never be run out of town here, nor flamed for expressing an opinion. We welcome opinions even if they are negative ones - and don't allow any personally negative comments to appear. We strive for fun, friendly and informative at all times.
I'm really excited to hear your thoughts on the Dream - and about all that is entailed in Concierge class. Nice one!
Thanks for sharing - as always.

We cruised on the Disney Magic as a couple, left our daughter at home. We are huge Disney fans, so it was a natural progression for us. As a couple who love the mouse, it was just a perfect experience for us. We loved the amazing shows, the theming of the ship, the activities and amazing staterooms. The adult activities were a lot of fun, and kept us busy every night with fun stuff like adult cabaret shows, comedy shows, scavenger hunts and gameshows. Honestly, I thought their adult stuff was better organized than I have seen on other ships. We hope to bring our daughter on a Disney ship one day, but alas, the big downside for Disney rears its ugly head... the cost.
We happened to get an amazing military rate the one time we cruised Disney, and have trouble imagining spending so much more for a similar experience to another line. We will do it again, with our daughter at some point, but it will be a special thing, unlikely to be oft repeated. I, for one, prefer more cruising over one super expensive cruise every few years.

Taswira,
Nothing against Disney (except for the prices... ouch) They do a cruise the same way they do all their parks. There are activities for kids but there is also a lot for adults to enjoy. More important, everything is Disney perfect. There is never anything out of place, service is impeccable, and you will have fun whatever your level of involvement.
BTW, my wife and I have gone to Disneyworld twice without the kids. (We did take them when they were younger but now they are grown. No reason for us not to enjoy the place)
I'm afraid I have to disagree with "Disney perfect" - lol. Of the 14 DCL cruises I've completed so far, the last one was what I call my "Murphy's Law" cruise (meaning nearly everything that could go wrong did). I'd rather not rehash the details except to say that from the moment I arrived at the port and throughout the cruise was a mostly miserable experience, then on debarkation morning I knew I was coming down with something and I was miserably sick for the next month. I'm only revealing this to make the point that just because it is Disney does not mean it will be perfect, but all my previous DCL cruises were and I'm hoping my three next year will be also.
Since I do not view all things Disney with rose colored glasses, I agree about their prices!![]()
Hey, Disney is as perfect as things can be. I remember we were on one ride and the cars locked up. We were there for 15 minutes, stuck in the same spot. (Luckily it was not on "Small World" or I would have never gotten the song out of my head). They had the technicians in immediately, decided it was safest for everyone to stay where they were, and they kept employees circling around to make sure everyone was okay and to give us stats on when it would be fixed. Very professional.
I will compare your "Murphy's law" cruise on Disney to my "Cruise from Hell" on Holland America any day. Mine was a perfect example of everything going wrong and the cruise line attitude of "we got your money, what are you going to do about it" attitude.
