Question No Casino ... a problem for you?

Would you be more likely to sail on Disney if their ships had casinos?

Lu, no I wouldn't. But that's because I'm old and I like my quiet time.

But you won't catch me on a cruise ship without a casino. I must have my daily fix.

I might. Only for my girlfriend, or if I ever have kids.

I am with you 100%. There are enough kids as it is on a normal cruise, one would be going over board

Also, the Casino is a big part of the experience right? I got to have me some BlackJack, 3 card poker, texas hold'em and let us not forget the backwards ATM, I think you call them slots ...

We did a river cruise last year without a casino, and did fine. It was a small ship, and we were off the ship almost every day, so I didn't miss it as much. My DH had been looking forward to having a casino on our cruise this year, but they recently did away with it! I think we will be fine, because it is a busy itinerary once again.

However, unless we had children of our own and "needed" to cruise Disney, I doubt we would go on a traditional cruise on a ship without a casino. One of the things we do on days at sea is gamble.

No, that would be a deal breaker for me. I doubt I would sail Disney anyway because of the kids, cost, etc. I wouldn't sail NCL Hawaii also since they don't have casinos.

I would sail any cruise line without a casino - not high on my list of requirements for a good cruise.

We actually have a senior couple who sail on Disney on a regular basis. They are dead set against gambling, plus they are not real steady on their feet, so they hate being tendered. They love the fact that they can get off at Disney's private island and have a wonderful day at the beach. They sail when school is in session, so there are not as many children on board and love to hang out in the adult's only area on the ship and on the island. They are always telling people that Disney is not just for kids! In fact, my 90 year old mom went on Disney last year and she absolutely loved it!

Of course the bad side of it is that since they don't have a casino to make extra money, the price of their cruises have to be a bit higher to help recoup some of the money.

90 and still healthy enough to go cruising ... Awesome! Honestly I do not see why they do not have even a very small Casino if there are "adult" areas on the ship. Maybe they are worried you would gamble your kids away...
