    Post Need oxygen while cruising--Warning

TravelO2 is a company that uses tactics of intimidation and threats to secure business for their company. They make claims that equipment of other providers will be confiscated and you will be forced to rent their equipment. The person I spoke with is named Tom and I do not trust him in any way. He made claims that I was able to repudiate both with my current Oxygen service provider and Carnival Cruise Line.

That's terrible, Reggie. I hope the cruiselines themselves will inform those who need to bring on oxygen that there's no one company to use.

Well you certainly are right. The special services lady at Carnival said she had gotten a call from another passenger in tears after the same kind of scare tactics that Tom had tried pulling on me. He sure dealt with the wrong person this time. I will spread the word to everyone possible including cruise forums, cruiselines and travel agencies.
This should put a little hitch in their giddyap.

Just let anyone you know that this guy Tom and or his company is not one to deal with.
I spoke with him several times and finally gave up trying to reason with him. He even called the company that supplies oxygen for my roommate Gail and lay the same BS on them.
The corporate office sent out instructions to never again recomend TravelO2 to any of it's clients.

I posted this at the Dark Side and after over 100 views it was removed. Maybe TravelO2 is one of their advertisers.

I think this is important to let people know. Especially with all the cruisers who rely on the respiratory support.

I found that thread over there plus another one. You're so right that taking advantage of the infirm is horrendous. And it sounds like there's also a reliability problem too, which can't be overlooked. If you're depending on the delivery of oxygen, you need this. It's not like you can buy oxygen from the ship's store.

Hi Reggie, Never nice when you have an experience like that and even more interesting that your views were not able to be shared on the dark side.... Do you have any suppliers you could recommend?

A lot of our guests used to use Care Vacations I don't remember any negative scenarios.

We used Care Vacations when Bob was still on oxygen and they were very easy to work with and, most importantly, reliable. They are the ones that Celebrity recommended when I called them.
