Do any of you have a FOLDING Walking Cane that you use on cruises?
Wondering how sturdy they are and which is the best and most dependable...![]()

I have one that I take with me for emergencies but thank goodness, have never had to use it. I loaned it to a friend on a cruise once and she had no problems with it. I think they work well.

I have one which I take with me "just in case", I have two artificial knees and hips and sometimes the legs get a bit tired.
I don't know what it is like where you are, but I purchased mine at a specialist mobility retailer. Here they have some nicely coloured and decorated sticks for ladies.
Mike - Retired and loving it. Lots more cruising to do.

Mike .... Appreciate your reply.
This would be a "just in case" for my DH. We live in Columbia, SC (not huge, but not a small city). I've been looking at some on the internet but am confused about which to order or if I should try to find one here.![]()

LuLu, this is the one that I have: Buy Duro-Med Adjustable Folding Cane, Bronze Online at drugstore.com
My insurance paid for mine and I bought it at a medical warehouse, but this one is the same brand and looks exactly like mine.

Just got this and thought perhaps you'd like to support a company that is supporting our veterans by giving away 36,000 folding canes to those veterans with mobility issues;
Free Hugo® Canes for Veterans - Hugo® Salutes our Veterans
A little more expensive than the Duro-Med, but much better quality and supports more weight.

Our Duro-Med came in yesterday -- shipped very quickly!
It seems to be very sturdy and easy to use ... perfect for our just in case needs.
Sort of like insurance ... hope we don't need to use it, but have it in case we do.![]()

Same reason I have mine. With an artificial knee and ankle and sometimes hip pain, I want to have it with me "just in case." I now have mine in my "stacking for packing" since we fly away in 6 days.
