Train from Seattle to Vancouver

Have any of you taken the train from Seattle to Vancouver to get to the port for cruising? Are there lifts for a person riding a scooter?

Thanks.

Extra note added: My brother in law is a double amputee and will be traveling with a scooter not a wheelchair. We are trying to determine how to get them from Portland to Vancouver or Seattle to Vancouver BC the easiest way. He and my sister travel with their 5 year old son. We are going on a cruise from Vancouver to Alaska then ending in San Diego. At the time we booked the cruise, the mobility issue (he can only walk a step or two if that and can't do stairs at all) was not an issue. We had been told that some of the smaller commuter planes do not have handicap access, so are trying to come up with other options for them so they can still cruise to Alaska.

AMTRAK'S Cascade service from Vancouver has platform level access to the cars and no lift is needed. The service on all other AMTRAK trains have lift service available at all stations where needed, even at unmanned stations. Ramps are on board equipment and can be utilized by the onboard service employees whenever platform level entry is not available. It would of course be prudent to advise AMTRAK of the special needs of a traveler.
Wheelchairs or scooters can be secured in special areas on the trains and at seat service for meals and refreshments will be provided by the onboard service employees.

BTW, I would definitely not suggest travel on QuickCoach for a person with mobility requirements. Just the hassle at the border being the major problem.
