Mariner of the Seas - HA Cabin 2320

We just got back from the Mariner of the Seas (RCCL) to the Mexican Riviera. Had a fabulous time. A dear friend was in one of the HA cabins #2320 - Oceanview and gave me permission to take photos to share with all of you:

The window in this cabin is immense. Great views from it and lots of sunshine and light.

The scooter doesn't need to be this far in the room. John moved it in as we all came in to see the room.

As you can tell, the beds were put together to make one larger bed. Giving one side more room between the bed and the wall.

(this will be a two part post)

Mariner of the Seas Cabin 2320 Oceanview continued:

The bathroom is easily accessed and there is a shower seat in the shower area.

Jackie demonstrated how the closet had a bar to allow someone to bring the clothes down to their level in a scooter or wheel chair.

As you can tell from all the photos (both posts) the cabin was really large with plenty of room for the scooter or a wheelchair. I would think the HA cabins are at least 1 1/2 times the size of the regular cabins.

Great shots Mary, and that cabin really is big! As one that has been in a wheelchair before, it makes all the difference in the world to be able to manuever around with ease, and so much more enjoyable. Looks like Jacquie and John had a great time. I miss them!

Thank you. We all had a great time and are planning to cruise together to Alaska next year possibly on the Carnival Spirit roundtrip out of Seattle.

I agree, accessibility is so important. When I broke my foot and had to use a scooter at the grocery store, I couldn't believe how hard it was to reach things. RCCL really did a great job on the closets etc.

Thank You so much, Mary!!! This thread has been very informative and you have done an excellant job of providing lots of info and pictures in one place.

Since the accident, Hermon uses a scooter for any distances and needs the shower chair. You have made the research on cabins very easily. And on our next cruise - whenever that might be - we will add pictures and info to this thread.

Again - Thank You.

Carnival Triumph balcony Cabin 6207

Someone early on in this thread said that there are no handicapped balcony cabins on the Carnival Triumph. There's something very wrong with that information. We cruised on the Triumph in 2006 and were in a handicapped balcony cabin -- number 6207. I'll try to post a photo. Nope; posting doesn't work for me. I'll try to post a link later, after I've learned more about these boards. In any event, it was a reasonable sized cabin, but I'm quite sure that it had a lip going out on the balcony.
