lagranny, I don't have any photos to offer you, but in general, handicapped accessible cabins have added space to allow a wheelchair or scooter to turn around. They also have restrooms designed for someone who has hampered mobility.
I see that this cabin is turned 90 degrees from the other inside cabins on your deck, and they may feel that the different orientation is enough to help you maneuver. The deck plan I found shows that they can put a third and fourth passenger in there, but I am guessing that the beds pull down from the ceiling or the wall,so that will not give you extra floor space.
Norwegian Spirit is an older ship and therefore the cabins are smaller. It was built when most people felt a cabin was only for sleeping, and your cabin reflects that.
I am concerned because the deck plan I am looking at does not indicate that this is a handicapped cabin. This could mean that you will have many issues with this cabin, and not just in floor space. Handicapped cabins should have a black box next to the cabin number, and yours does not. The two inside HC cabins on deck 10, appear to be twice the size of your cabin.
I am not an NCL expert, but I would still get this addressed ASAP. If you booked through a travel agent, they should handle this for you.
