    What's for breakfast?

What do you usually have for breakfast when on a cruise?

I always start with Pineapple juice, followed by pancakes or smoked fish (salmon or haddock), toast and coffee.

We aren't big breakfast eaters at home, but for some reason on a ship,we eat like lumberjacks. We usually hit the buffet and I will have a little of many many different things.

My hubby is a big fan of the made-to-order omelets in the Princess buffet (especially as they will use egg beaters on request). If it's a sea day, he'll make up a tray for his girls so we can sleep in. Usually a box of cereal and bacon strips for the girl, Belgian waffles or pancakes, a bowl of fruit, a muffin and OJ for me (even though he uses the small glass so I usually have to go get more if I can as I prefer a big glass as I don't drink coffee). If we all go to the buffet, basically the same stuff. There's a crew member who makes waffles right there so you can get them fresh.

What we have for breakfast on ships depends on our plans for the day.

My standard breakfast is fresh squeezed OJ, a bran muffin and oatmeal with a cup of decaf. I do deviate from time to time and have Eggs Benedict. On Celebrity (which we sail most often) we then head to where they are having the Elite breakfast and indulge in croissants and a specialty coffee.

Except for days with early excursions we always eat in the MDR. I usually have bagels with creamcheese, lox , onions and tomatoes. Some days I have them make me a lox and onion omelet. As you can see, I love lox.
