Char, I have but it is a lot of work (especially if you make the homemade strawberry ice cream to go along with it)

Nothing like home made ice cream! Just put some in the freezer for making the Baked Alaska another day. That is, if there is any left!

All the more for me! Ice cream is my downfall. If I have it in the house it keeps calling my name!

DH likes it, too. Always has some of the sugar free kind in the house. I might have one or two small dishes a year, but it's not something I particularly enjoy.

All this talk about homemade ice cream reminds me of one summer during college when four other girls and I subleased a house and one of them had a hand crank ice cream maker. So every once in a while we would get the fixin's for ice cream and invite our friends (most from the journalism school) for a party. Every one who wanted ice cream was expected to take their turn at the crank. It was fun for all.
