My hubby loves Indian food (he can eat just about anything). He found a little Indian place that's a tiny little restaurant in a strip mall that is now one of his favorites. So I just have to load up on Pepcid ahead of time and hope for the best.

I like spicy food. But exotic doesn't always have to mean mean spicy...or even ethnic.
Here's a menu that's fairly exotic, not because any ingredients are strange, but the way they're done and the combinations are done with an exotic flair. I know some meat and potatoes people who would hate it. Pears in wine? Spinach in pineapple? Too wierd for some. But I enjoy this sort of thing!

If the duck were not smoked, I would like it! The rest sounds good, especially the cinnamon ice cream! As I mentioned in another post, we just returned from Eastern Europe. The food is very heavy. Our last night we went to an Italian restaurant. I was in heaven!
Smoked is the only way I like duck. Almost anything with a roasted walnut vinaigrette is wonderful!
Love RARE grilled yellow fin tuna! I'd pick the tuna (without the mashed potatoes) over the duck.

Never have liked tuna in any form. Deb can't even make a tuna casserole around here because I can smell it for days and I hate the smell.
There is a certain segment of the Texas population that hates seafood. Actually, they usually love shrimp and crawfish, usually prefering it fried, and with something to dip it in. And they usually like lobster now and then. But put anything "fishy" in front of them and they just can't bear it. I wonder if this has something to do with growing up in a landlocked state. Or maybe it's just tradition.
I grew up in Florida, where we don't have that affliction. When I go out with my Texas girlfriends for lunch the ordering usually goes something like "beef - salad - beef on salad - yet more beef - and FISH for me. I love fish - cooked any way it can be done. Even if it smells fishy.
