A nice glass or two of wine makes it perfect.

The texture of escargot is similar to smoked oysters, I think.

Yeah, like rubber?

NO! I have never had a rubber escargot! They are neither slimy or rubbery.

I am a coward, they have been on the menu, but I have never tried them. Don't like the idea.

It's definately the idea. The taste is not bad. Maybe on the ship you tell them you want to try them just once.

Did someone say OYSTERS!

Oysters (East Coast or Gulf) are my absolute favorite food ... will eat um any way I can get um!

Nothing is better than to be at an Oyster Bar in New Orleans and eat them raw (sliders) as they open them!

Well, maybe an Oyster Shooter is better! Has my two favorites: raw oysters and vodka! To die for! Actually, if I had to order a "last meal", that would be it!

Only if it is good caviar. And I really like caviar served on blini with creme fraiche and a glass of champaigne.

Oh, no! Why did you have to mention caviar! Another favorite of mine! Now, you've made me really hungry!

If it's really good caviar, I like to eat it slowly to enjoy as it burst in my mouth.

Those little jars from the grocery work for me. I've been know to make many a meal on caviar, cream cheese, and tricuits!

I always have escargot while cruising when it on the menu. I compare the texture to be like mushrooms. Marilyn use to order them just to dip bread in the garlic butter. I would then eat hers too. She does not eat bread anymore so she stopped ordering them.
