    Question Cruise Line Cookbooks

Have any of you bought a cookbook on a ship with the recipes for their specialities?

    Thanks, Diane and Stephen!

Sounds like the cookbooks on RCCL and QE2 are worth buying!

On that Carnival cruise we took they were coming around in the dining room selling their cookbooks while we were trying to eat dinner.

Don't know how the rest of you feel about this ... but we didn't appreciate the intrusion.

I don't like the sound of that. It was bad enough on QE2 with the photographer coming around. If i want a book I will go in the bookshop.

On RCCL they sometimes have cooking demos and they'll sell the cookbook after with the chef signing the cookbook for you. On Liberty they had the Executive Chef in the Promenade one day siging and selling the featured cookbook. I collect cookbooks so I would have bought one whether there were recipes to use or not but I have made things from the cookbooks.

Having the Executive Chef sign the cookbook was great! Bet they sold lots of copies!

HAL has 2 cook books out -- have not bought them.

But do know that some of dishes we get on the ships -- the recipes are in the books.

I have been posting a lot of the recipes on Casual Cooks that we have picked up on our last few cruises.
