What's the most weight you have ever gained on a cruise?

Just wondering. I am one of those that think the more food you can stuff in your belly, the more value you got for your money. I am not ashamed to admit I once gained 15 lbs on a 10 day cruise. I have the same philosophy when I go to Vegas where the drinks are free...

I think the most was about 2 pounds. I tend to eat pretty much the way I do at home. I dont eat all the courses at dinner and just sometimes have dessert...if I think it will be worth the calories.

I think I may have gained about 3 lbs once . . . that was probably the most.

I did read an article some time back that claimed the average weight gain on a 7 day cruise is 8 pounds.

My doctor claimed I gained too much weight after my Alaskan cruise. Don't know how he wouldn't know it wasn't from the train trip to and from Seattle or the hotel room stays. So the next cruise, I did a lot of exercising before the cruise and ate lots of salads and tried walking a lot. Went in for an exam a few days after I got home (but my gyn one, not my internist one, so was weighed on a different scale) and weighed the same October and January. And that was after a two week cruise.

You can be healthy on a cruise.

Once I lost 5 pounds because the food was really awful to me! Some seemed to have liked it all right ....

Still, I had fun on the cruise!

Man does not live by bread alone .... there's always vodka and wine!

When I booked my cruise my weight was 210 pounds. Now I am 170. If I gain 10 pounds on my trip and have a heart attack, will my trip insurance consider it a "pre-existing condition"? I hope not.

-2 pounds. I lose 2 pounds on every cruise. It's not that I eat less - but I am exercising more. I take the stairs with the kids instead of waiting for the elevator and seem to walk a ton more than I do all day sitting behind my desk. My doctor says I should cruise more often. I think that is great advise.
