I gain 5 to 7 lbs per cruise. If I eat too much my body loses its appetite. I usually lose all but one to two lbs in one week after I get back. I try to use the stairs, and don't spend too much time in the stateroom. I like fish dishes so I stay with those and stay away from the heavy meats. Ice cream is a problem though.
i was very naughty on the 3 cruises we did in january +15lbs . all of now though

I lost 14 lbs ,but I turned and looked behind and found the loss
While I am overweight and tend to eat alot, on my two cruises I broke even on one and lost2 on the other. The reason is unlike at home I don't snack between the meals, I am not a big drinker and I am constantly moving around the ship. I don't sit by the pool but go from activity to trivia to walks. I was shocked after my first cruise after hearing how much my friends usually gain.
Last summer on the Noordam I take more cal. then normal but after all I lose 1 kilo.
I belief it has to do with the action, the places we visit and many walking.
If the ship goes where you want to go when you want to go, then go.
