Um, generally NO... raw foodists TEND to be vegetarians. I'm sure that there are some that eat meat/dairy too, but the ones I'm most familiar with don't.

Raw foodists eat food that has not been heated over 118 degrees.
Really fresh, healthy, tasty food.

Does these cooking include the sauces that may be used for dipping .... which sometimes needs to boil slowly for a while?

Also, I thought I saw something on TV that anything RAW was OK for "raw foodist" ?

Yes, anything raw.
However, I personally won't eat raw animal products.

There are some raw foodists that do.

As far as dipping sauces, that depends on how strict a raw foodist is... some are partially raw, some mostly raw, some 100% raw.

People do get weird about food sometimes, huh?

Yes...especially after a long shore excursion and we get back on the ship @ 4pm and we're hungry, eat some late lunch, go back to our room and get ready for dinner which is an hour or so later, and eat some more. We always have 'early' seating
