    Diamond Dancing

I am thinking of taking the Diamond Princess up to Alaska in August.
Can anybody tell me what the dacing is like , is there a big dancefloor and nice music available each night or is it occupied with games etc. Does it several suitable places to dance ?

Well have fun. Check out the dancefloor.

By the way did you see there was a Dancing with the Stars thread here ?
It is in the Off-Topic section.

Was on the Sapphire, the sister ship, in 2004. There is a disco, Club Fusion on both ships, but I don't remember checking out the action. We did go a few times to Skywalkers, which is the one that's high up (you take an escalator to get there), but during the day. There is a dance floor there. I know that a wedding reception was held there on one of the days of our cruise.

I would guess that there will be quite a few families onboard in August (that's when we sailed). Less like likely that everyone will be in bed by 10.

We went on the Diamond Princess for 24 days from Beijing to Vancouver. Fabulous. The dancing was great also. Four dance floors Fusion, Explorers, Wheelhouse and Skywalker's and great music.

Sounds like you answered your own question, Tony!
Those venues should still be used for the same purpose on the Alaska itinerary.
