The way that the dining dress code works is that the traditional and anytime dining rooms have the same dress code: either smart casual or formal. When you get the Patters each night, the next day's dress code will be at the top.
The menu for both dining rooms will be the same for the night. You can swing by the dining rooms during the day and see what's cookin' for lunch and dinner. And there's always "always available." Herb chicken, steak, noodles... My hubby picked from that part of the menu a few times.
You're right that the Horizon is always casual, even tho' sometimes you may see someone dressed to the nines in there getting a quick nosh. Some of the entrees on formal night are often available there.
We have never gone to any of the speciality dining rooms. When we were on the Sapphire, the Diamond's sister ship, in '04, the menus for the different speciality restaurants were different (Asian, Southwest, etc.) but that has changed since then, and supposedly they offer the same menu. But I could be wrong. Not sure if you are expected to dress formally in those d.r.s on formal night. But I'm guessing they follow the traditional/anytime code.
