    Curacao Shopping

    Curacao Shopping
It has been years since we were fortunate to dock at the inside pier.

But I thought I should tell you about the names of some of the shops at the Renaissance Mall -- right at their hotel -- at the Mega Pier.

    Penha
    Columbian Jewelers
    Freeport Jewelers
    Swatch
    Del Sol
    Swarovski Boutique
    Tiffany & Co
    Mont Blanc
    Tommy Hillingers
    XOXO Clothing
    Little Switzerland
    Diesel
    Panache
    Guess
    Maxmana
Sun & Specks (they even repairs regular glasses)

So -- if some of you are worried about docking at the Mega Pier and can't handle the long walk through Rif Fort (which still has a lot of small shops) and pass the vendors, and over the pontoon bridge to get to town, you can walk right over to these shops by the hotel.

    We found great shopping there.

Thanks Yonnie! That is good to know. It has been a few years since I was there, too, so haven't seen the mega pier.

Yonnie, when we were there last year we went into town. It was a zoo.

On the other hand, the shops you mention are similar (if not identical) to ones you have in the US in most major cities. Why go all the way to Curacao if you are only going into the same shops you have at home?

Personally, I don't shop at any port. Don't need anything---trying to give away the things I have accrued over the years!

Unfortunately so many of the items are "made in China" that it took most of the fun out of it. We found a few unique things but most of it was mass market trinkets.

    Thanks Yonnie!

Especially helpful is learning "Sun & Specks" repairs regular glasses.
