Yes, I am very excited to see what changes the interior will have from the Queen Victoria.

Gonna' be interesting? Will she be more like the older queens and has Cunard responded and reacted to all the comments about the QV?

She will be a sister to QV so the outside will look a lot like QV but who knows what the inside will be like. I am sure Cunard will have learnt from the mistakes made on QV

Stephen,

I was wondering if perhaps Cunard might of added an additional deck to the froward super structure of the ship, like on the Holland America Line's Eurodam which originated from the Vista Class which is where the QV's also came from.

QE will be slightly larger than QV so they have added some extra space somewhere. I would rather have an extra deck, then have it added at the stern, she is square enough as it is. Less than 2 weeks and we should find out.

Yes there was a Queen Elizabeth which sank in Hong Kong Harbour after having left Cunard's service. The QE2 should have been called Queen Elizabeth, but when HM Queen Elizabeth II named the ship she said "I name this ship Queen Elizabeth the second" so Cunard had to stick with it. This did not go down well in Scotalnd where HM is only Elizabeth the first so she was named QE2 the second ship named Queen Elizabeth. This will be the QE3 but known as QE. I hope that helps.

Similar to the Zuiderdam fiasco when it first came out. Nobody thought the garish interior was in line witht he HAL tradition. The Westerdam, Noordam, and Oosterdam were really toned down as was the Z when it went into its first refitting.
