Hi, anyone going on this cruise? My sister and I are going and wonder if anyone knows how many gentleman hosts there are to dance with the single ladies? This is our first Cunard cruise.

I have not had any experience with hosts but I found this on line!! There is a photo gallery and you can get an idea how many are on different sailings and cruiselines!!

While I've not personally taken advantage of this opportunity

, I have several friends who really enjoy having the hosts available...(I AM sometimes mistaken for one of the hosts, so I spend more time dancing in the "Yacht Club" these days

)

From past experiences, and recent cruises, one of my friends said that there are usually between four and six hosts. The hosts are very good at asking if you'd like to dance, and then making sure that each person gets opportunities. Depending on the venue (afternoon dancing/before dinner dancing/evening ballroom dancing) you may have the chance for several dances each, or more, if there are fewer others wanting to dance...

Lastly, there are other passengers who enjoy dancing, and you may find, as you meet more people, that your dance cards fill up!

I almost booked this cruise, but went for the 27th October one, which I did not know at the time would be her last Southampton to Southampton voyage.

I hope you have a really great time onboard the finest, most wonderful ship in the world.

As Andrew has said, there are usually at least 4 hosts onboard, if you want a dance just sit as close to the dance floor as you can get and you should not have to wait long.
