quality of service on QM2

Hi
How does the quality of service on the QM2 rate against other cruises ?

I was only on QM2 for the 3 day West Coast Escape, so my experience is limited.

I thought the service was about the same as what we experienced on Celebrity and (most of the time) on RCI. It was fine, nothing to write home about.

The ship is gorgeous, but I doubt we will sail on her again. It was just too big for us. While we enjoyed our little "taste", we'll probably sail smaller ships in the future.

Hi
Thanks for the response. You are the only one to have done so and only few have viewed the thread it makes me think hardly anyone on CLF has been on the QM2.
I had heard a rumour that the service was not great which surprised me for a ship with a distinguished ancestry. Clearly you were not overly impressed. Maybe they will improve with time.
Tony

I am not hopeful for that. From what I have read, management has been taken over by Princess. Service onboard QEII is, from what I've read, impeccable, but that management team is from Cunard.

It was not horrible, just not over the top, which many people expect. We met a couple the last morning of our cruise, over breakfast who were experiencing their first cruise experience. While they were pleased and did enjoy themselves, they said there really was no "WOW" factor.

So, unless Princess makes a major change in management, the ship will continue the same service as now.

All in all, I'd cruise on her again if we could find an awesome deal, the ship was gorgeous. But, for the additional cost, it just would not be worth it. There are so many cruiselines out there that provide a nice cruise for far less $$.

I just assumed that it would have been the same organization running all the Queen E and M Ships. I wonder if that means the all Princess operated ships are nothing special. We have only been on one Cruise on the Norwegian Dawn and we were thrilled with everything ( except the lack of dance floors). Maybe we are easily impressed.
