Please share your Cunard secrets !!!

We've been on Cunard Princess and Cunard Countess 4 times back in the 70s and Queen Mary 2.
Don't really have any secrets other than it's a first class line and a real cruising experience.

Should of booked current cruise! 100% refund for missing a few ports - I could deal with that dissapointment.

The only advice I have is to make sure if you are taking your second cruise or more to have your Cunard World Club number attached to your trip so that you get credit for it and are eligible for upgrades. Then TELL them you want a free upgrade should it become available (they have to flag your reservation for this and you want to make sure you have this option) - because sometimes you can pay for a low class and really jump up to something special as they sometimes re-sell the cheaper cabins.

I find Cunard best line to hand out upgrades to past cruisers. If you are a repeat, it means something.

Joan, I'm right there with you. I feel like I sound like such a snob when I say I've never dined in anything but Grill restaurants, but it's because I keep getting upgraded! I've never booked in a grill before, and have always been upgraded at least four categories- the last time from a C1 to Queen's Grill 3! WOW! (although I think they'll think twice about doing that for me again- nearly ate them out of caviar! ) Princess Grill is lovely too. Every time we try to book in Caronia on the QE2, we get bumped up! Such problems, I know...but it does keep me coming back as often as I can.

Still trying to make a Spring QE2 crossing work next year- but pesky work and finances get in the way...
