Here is the response I got from Cunard when I asked about handling bags.

    Dear Mr Linsdell
If the voyages arrive and depart on the same day yes your luggage can be transported between ships

I generally do "Grand Voyages" which are B2B2B so I remain on the QM2 for the entire journey. I do the EB, stay on board for the Med or Norway, etc. and do the WB back. So I am used to having the 2 turn-around days in Southampton.
I generally spend one day with a British friend and last year we did the Hythe trip. The 2nd day in Southampton I do my shopping at West Quay, etc.

Is West Quay a big shopping area ? Do you shop for specific Brit only things ?

I especially like the idea of being able to try two different ships B2B

Tony, I am a contractor. If I don't work, I don't get paid...... No holidays, vacations, or anything like that.
