    Hi Char and Lanky Lad

I enjoyed QE and I am really looking forward to QV - trying to talk my husband into retying the knot....

I like Cunard and also Celebrity. When we went to Alaska I was surprised at how good Celebrity was. We will do them again. I wont limit myself to one cruise company.

I like the feel of Cunard and Celebrity.

My parents and I are actually seriously looking into booking the 5 Night Summer Getaway aboard Queen Mary 2, which departs Southampton on June 5th.

Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria are doing much longer cruises, which we could never afford, but when I saw Queen Mary 2 was doing a 5 night voyage... I thought this could be possible. Although I don't see it happening myself, it's unlikely.

Tomorrow we're going to visit our local travel agent and see what prices they can offer. I've looked on the Cunard website and seen that prices start from £666pp. So we could be looking at about £1,400.

I'm also going to email Reader Offers, the company I visited earlier this month. To see what deals they have.

It would be a fantastic way to celebrate my 18th birthday. My own fear is, that it's fully booked before we can book.

Janice, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the Celebrity experience.
Alaska is one of my favorite places to sail---6 times, so far.

Harry, that would be wonderful if you could swing it!
It would be you and your Dad?

It's most likely it would be me and Dad again. It would be easier if I had someone else to go with, so the price was just half. But sadly I don't...

I'll let you know what offers the Travel Agents offer us today.

    I’m so excited right now!!!!!!

I went into some of the local Travel Agents this morning during my break in between lessons at College. The first wasn’t really very helpful. The second was much more helpful.

I was informed that the 5 Night Summer Getaway Voyage about Queen Mary 2 does not go on sale until 9am Monday April 4th. As this is such a special voyage with all 3 Queens meeting in Southampton, it’s bound to sell FAST!!! They’ve taken my details and are going to get back to me.

However!... I also called Reader Offers Limted (ROL Cruise), and spoke to Laura who I meet with at the Cruise Show back in January. I was lucky enough to visit their office and meet their Chairman earlier this month. Laura said she would speak with a colleague in reservation to try and get a price.

About 15 minutes ago I received a phone call. Cunard are currently offering prices at £599pp for a D8 Inside Stateroom. However, they may increase the prices when this voyage goes on sale. We’ve paid a deposit of £200... now we’ve just got to official book through ROL Monday morning and fast!

I’m living the dream right now... I can’t believe this could actually happen!

Congratulations Harry. I think that is a dream for your age to be doing a wonderful trip like that.

I have booked today on QV for the 5th June 2012 and I am so excited. Just got to pay for it.....

    Thank you!
Great to hear you've booked Queen Victoria!

I can't wait to see the 3 ships berthed together. I'm sure there will be plenty of on lookers to wave us off!
