just a point to note on the Queen Victoria ... the ship has a strengthened Hull unlike the other vista ships of HAL which allows it to make the crossings of the Atlantic on a regular basis should the need arise. I would guess that the Queen elizabeth would be the same.

The pic of the QE2 i am guessing was taken in Geiranger Fjord?

Yes Queen Elizabeth will be like Queen Victoria and have a strengthened hull. They are also longer than the other vista class ships by about 30 feet.

Yes the QE2 picture was taken in Geiranger Fjord

So, does that make them true ocean liners?

QM2 is a true ocean liner, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth (3) are more of a cruise liner, but with an ocean liner feel and a modified hull to improve their seakeeping.

    A great pictue

I take it from your user name that you are a fan of Queen Mary

For anyone who does not know, 534 was Queen Mary's yard number at John Brown's
