Yes, it is very different from the hotels that we use to booking. It would be to much for me to talk about. At first I didn't want to stay there because of the reviews but I was well aware that this wasn't a 5 stars hotel! I knew it was going to be historic but me bed was very comfortable and my room was clean. I didn't do the tours because you can walk around the ship yourself. I say if you like history then this something for you to experience. I will try to find some pictures and I will see if my friend has her pictures, I will upload them if I can find them.

Have to agree about the QM...it's a wonderful bit of history, and if you're an ocean liner buff, an absolute must to stay on board....but it's sort of tatty, so you have to let the nostalgia carry you along.

We stayed there last year before sailing to Hawaii, and the one comment I would make is to make sure that you're on the harbor side, not the pier side....noise from an event in the parking lot made sleep nearly impossible.

But I'd go back in a minute to stroll the decks, and do a self-guided tour of the ship and the museums...fascinating.
