    QE 2 - Norvo outbreak

Just read in our local newspaper that 16% of the passengers have come down with the Norvo since Jan 2 when she began her world cruise. The CDC is going on board when the QE 2 arrives in Acapulco.

Yes, I read this late last night. A very small number of passengers are in isolation.

16% is a high % -- we have been on several ships and the Norvo count for passengers wasn't that high but the ships still went into Code Red.

Hopefully when the CDC come on board in Acapulco, they will get everything under control and many cleaners will come on at the same time. People don't want to get re-infected again.

It's amazing that no matter what the lines do, that darn bug manages to get on board.

On QM2 last month, the crew did a vigilant job in making sure nobody got sick.
They had people at the food stations (front of the line, were you pick up plates, utensils, etc.) armed with the sanitizing gel. If you refused to let them squirt your palm with the Purell .... guess what - "No food for you!"

"Getting there is half the fun .... go CUNARD!

I just heard on the news that the world cruise has ended in San Francisco because of the virus!!!!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

They announced that on our TV station this morning as well. I couldn't believ e it.

But I guess they have no other choice. They have to get that ship cleaned from top to bottom.
