I have never seen any sort of door decoration on a Cunard ship.
Going on a group cruise on th Vision and want to do something for all the cabins. Still in thinking mode.
We brought some friends on QE2 a few years ago...and they ended up next door to us...we were walking down the hall to our stateroom, and saw a large green bow....their cabin. Our friend said it was so she could find the cabin without her glasses on, but I think it was to find her cabin after too many glasses!![]()
People walking by DID comment!
Only time I've ever seen something like that on Cunard.

A lot of people decorate doors for Christmas. Other than a few birthday decorations, people don't generally decorate doors on other cruises.
We decorated for the Christmas cruise. We were sailing with my father, but our cabins weren't close together. I was very excited about the cruise, and collected a bunch of decorations from the dollar store so that I could decorate my cabin. Even had a scrawny little artificial tree, which I decorated with ribbon for a garland and pictures cut out from the daily program as the cruise went on. (OK, so I'm a Christmas nut).
I had two little green tinsel wreaths, one for my door, one for Dad's. I taped his wreath on his door when we were collecting him to go to tea the first afternoon. He looked at it as if I had taped something disgusting to the door and said "What's that for?" I gave him the look my dear departed mother had taught me (from one She Who Must Be Obeyed to another) and said, "It's for Christmas."
There were no other decorated doors at that point, but slowly, the wreaths and other such began to show up. The next day, he said that the woman in the cabin across from his complimented him on his door decoration. Suddenly it was a good idea.
