Imagine soaking your feet in the crystal blue waters of your very own private island….the wind gently blowing, as you lay back on perfectly white sands. Pretty nice, right? Well – you won’t be completely alone on your own private island during your next Caribbean cruise, but you will be able to enjoy an exotic paradise reserved only for guests aboard several major cruise ships.


Each of the major cruise line’s owns or leases private island space for the enjoyment of it’s passengers – and while many have standard amenities throughout , each of them have their own personality. We have visited Labadee, Coco Cay, Princess Cays and Great Stirrup Cay. We have not yet visited Cataway Cay or Half Moon Cay, but there is still time!

We loved Labadee the best of all the islands, as it is much bigger and very tropical. The beaches were superb and it really did feel exotic.

Never done a shore excursion, just like to swim, and enjoy the beauty.

Think they are much of a muchness - burgers, hot dogs etc.

A good book, and a swimming costume plus sunscreen!

If I owned a private island I would name it 'Heaven'

Yes, we would be very interested in an overnight stay as it always seems too hurried when you have to leave mid afternoon.

Yes we much prefer a private cruise island as it is so much more relaxing.
