HAL has gone through a lot of work to get rid of their "old age home at sea" image and overall, they have done a great job with the new, larger ships.

I am still furious at HAL, but I not not find fault with a few things, and their kids program is getting better all the time.

Excellent Cruise Video. I toured the Nieuw Amsterdam's sister, the Eurodam on Saturday(2/12) in Ft Lauderdale. I'll be looking forward to Parts 2 & 3 of your family cruise video.

Here is Part TWO of my Nieuw Amsterdam video. In this episode I focus in on what makes the Nieuw Amsterdam unique.
YouTube - Nieuw Amsterdam Part TWO

Officer note: You can embed the video by clicking on the icon
then take the tail end of the string (the part after the= ) and put it in the brackets
    It would look like this

Nice presentation, again. How did you manage to get a bridge tour and how were you able to photograph it? I thought that was impossible since 9-11.

Bridge tours are possible...we have been on quite a few since 911. They pre-screen you and you have to sign in..at least that is the way it's done on Celebrity. Pictures have always been allowed when we were there.

Char, I have tried several times to get a bridge tour but have been told no on one occasion and had it canceled twice on another cruise.

    Maybe I just look suspicious.

They probably checked you out and saw that you were affiliated with the International Association of Troublemakers.

Well, I enjoyed Part 2 also. Looking forward to Part 3, Barry. The Cabana Club stood out when I toured the Eurodam last Saturday.

Maybe it is because they know I will not be able to keep my hands off the buttons.
