Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Wow, thanks Sue for posting that fantastic video!!
Normandie is one of the few liners that really captures all of the fantasies that those of us who were born too late imagine the golden years of transatlantic travel to be.
For those interested, recently a full color DVD was released of Normandie's very last transatlantic crossing.
Full color!
Right now, the only place I know of to find it is Amazon France
Amazon.fr*: Thalassa : À bord du Normandie: DVD
All the commentary is in French, but it's worth it for the stunning color images of this great ship at sea and her legendary interiors.
Additionally, this DVD may not play on US NTSC-only players.
I have heard of an english-translated version, but I don't know where to find it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Kyle, I have another two or three here that are old as well!!
