Thread: New TSA Body Scanners

Thought this most appropriate considering the flack over the current body scanners. I'm all for putting these everywhere right now!!

I read a joke the other day about those "explosive" detectors.

Excellent idea!

I went through one of those scanners in January...I'm not even sure it was working! They had me step in, waited about 5 seconds, and then step out...it never even made a noise or movement or anything!

We haven't had the pleasure of participating in the new technology, but it may come to that next month when we fly out of Orlando. I wonder if Heathrow has full body scanners...does anyone know?

I believe terminal 5 has them, Char I believe you are flying with Delta from the old Terminal 4, which still have the old BA equipment. Will see what I can find out.

November the morning we were to fly from JFK the body scanners were highlighted on USA TV. Approached security expecting the new technology, the only change we had was how quick we got through with the old methods.

Anything is welcome if it makes flying safer.

You are correct, Norman. The Delta web site shows our flight leaving from terminal 4.
