Question Keeping Sea Pass Cards Safe

I haven't seen this discussed anywhere. How do you help your kids keep up with their Sea Pass cards all day? Ours are 12 & 14 so they aren't with us much on the ship during the day and with wearing swimming suits, there isn't anywhere to put those pesky sea pass cards so they can come/go in/out their rooms at their leisure.

I have seen the little waterproof containers but both kids say they are too bulky. Can you punch a hole in the card and put it on a lanyard?

any suggestions?

On Royal Caribbean I have seen guests who have gotten their SeaPass punched and put on a lanyard.

Lanyards are the way to go. I always use one myself so I don't have to worry about carrying anything around on the ship.

If they are too active to keep the lanyards around their necks, you can always put a pin through the hole you will have punched and pin it inside their swimsuit or shorts pocket. It means they will have to unpin it to open the door, but at least it won't get lost.

A few years ago I bought a package of the plastic sleeves that can be used with the lanyards and found it useful for holding the cruise card and my photo ID (which I needed onboard when picking up the girl from the kids' program, at least until the counselors got to know me by sight).
