Thread: Helsinki - Stockholm - Silja Line

Hi,

We went on a trip with Silja Line to Stockholm.

The food was fine and the trip is recommended if you have small kids.

However every trip has its negatiive sides, our kid was asleep and we
went to the Disco on the top floor. The bouncer's attitude was very rude, as
if they were the boss there and this is for god's sake a family cruise. You don't
need to behave like a bulldog to your guests...

We heard that this company policy.

We had nice time in Sweden when we go there and avoided the disco on the trip back.

Silja provides "ferry" service between Estonia, Finland, Germany, Russia and Sweden. In general, these are not short trips (Helsinki to Stockholm is 16.5 hours), so cabins, restaurants and entertainment are available. There are also decks to leave your cars while you enjoy yourself as you cross the Baltic.

Royal Caribbean Voyager class would have some feelings of deja vu on board one of these ferries, since they were the first ships to have a long shopping arcade thru the middle of the ship.

It would be no surprise then that these ships were built at the same ship yard as the Voyager class ships and the new Freedom of the Seas. (Newer Carnival ships had come from this shipyard as well.)
