I have read about folks not being happy with them, but my personal knowledge is nil.
However, I personally know several people who have used CruCon and have no complaints.
You must remember that they are not geared to service and the agents there may never have been on a cruise ship.
If you have done you due dilligence and know exactly what you want to book and don't care about a lot of followup on your booking, then go ahead and use them for their perks.
Thanks Charlene, one of the friends we made on the Antarctica cruise has used them several times without a problem.
What is CruCon??
Cruising is the best mode for having holiday off daily-routine.

I've heard alot of complaints about them - just an online site dealing in quantity and not quality. If you don't mind dealing with someone who may not be able to provide personal service, they are as good or bad as alot of them out there.

They are just another online TA discounting (read rebating) commissions for the sheer volume of it. I have heard people pan them and people give them props so it's probably based on how much you know and how savvy you are doing your own research and work. No customer service. If you are good with that then you'll be fine.

As previiously stated they are an online travel agency. They are Better Business Bureau members with an A+ rating based on 4 complaints files within the past 36 months all of which were resolved. My previous dealings with them was hosting some of their clients on a cruise sponsored by a mutual supplier. On that occassion they booked some clients into the group I was hosting and others were not. Made for some interesting issued that had to be resolved quickly but everything worked out in the end

I don't pay alto of attention to the BBB ratings after I read that article about how businesses who pay more money automatically get higher ratings than those not willing to pay the extra money. Case in point was Wolfgang Puck's restaurant, which is outstanding and never had any complaints, got a 'D' rating simply because they refused to pay the extra money, while a Korean company, who had alto of complaints, got an A+ rating because they did pay the extra money. Turns out it's now less about earned ratings and more about the money, so they are loosing their credibility and ratings can no longer be trusted.
So just because a company has an A+ rating does not necessarily mean they are a good company.
Another thing alto of people don't know is that if you call or send an inquiry to BBB about a company who is not a member of BBB, the BBB will then contact the company and try to sell them a membership. The sales pitch is always the same.
