No way, tendering is fun! And so is going ashore.
On large ships tendering can be a drawback. The wait can be excessive and waste much time. Last year at Belize,:thumbsdow we waited until 2 PM to go ashore. Enjoyed the pool while the rush was on. Our tender, when we finally went in, was a waterman's workboat from the Chesapeake Bay (just kiddin). Coming back was in an enclosed barge that was hot and humid. At Grand Caymen they said it was too rough.:thumbsdow Docking is preferred.![]()

Why would you do that? If you have to tender you have to tender.......not that big of a problem
Tendering is all part of the adventure.. We actually like it...
.
What's the point of being in a new place if you don't go ashore? I'll get there anyway I can. (short of swimming in)
Tendering - we dont't mind it.
But then again we aren't on those big mega ships where there are hords trying to all get off at the same time.![]()

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
At this point, no. We enjoy exploring the ports and taking excursions. If we have to tender to do so, then that's what we do.

Why would we do that? It's part of the whole experience...and it's worth it to get to 'the other side'.![]()
