    Thanks, Jim!

Guess they do vary a bit on Princess ships.

Our cabin was close to one on Emerald Princess. Very CLEAN! It had 2 each washers & dryers, two irons/ironing boards, a vending machine for soap, a machine to get coins, and a nice stainless steel sink.

I'd never been in one before ... but since it was so close to our cabin, I used the sink to wash out our SANDY bathing suits and water shoes ... rather than messing up our bathroom.

    Great Replies EVERYONE!

Could be a factor in picking a cruise line/ship to any who feel having this option available when cruising is a plus.

We're still missing some .... Carnival, Costa, Disney, etc.

Not much to add, I agree with Celebrity being "no" and I did not see any on the Noordam so I am in agreement with Yonnie on this one.

I saw a self service laundry room on the Carnival Liberty earlier this month. It's a fairly small facility, with 3 or 4 washers and dryers, and vending machines to purchase soap, etc. The prices are not that cheap, but can make it an easy way to pack lighter. It'll be cheaper than paying the baggage fees at the airport. There was also one iron and ironing board in the particular room I saw. There was a thread somewhere which actually gave the location of each on each ship (e.g., across from room XXXX on a certain ship), but I don't remember which thread I saw it in.

After seeing the amount of luggage that other folks bring on board, I feel like I'm a very efficient packer. Plus now, making to Platinum on Carnival, we can get free wash & fold service. I'm still going to have to find out just what "fold" means. I wouldn't expect them to carry lots of hangers on board. They have enough other items to load, especially for those who can't get enough food!

We are among those that just pack lots of clothes. We have not done laundry onboard since our 18 night Panama Canal cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam. On that one it seem everyone was trying to do it the day we were in the canal.

Disney - yes $1.00 in quarters to wash and dry. 7 washers and dryers in each of the areas.
