Thread: With an OBC,do you spend more $$ onboard??

It doesn't affect my spending but sure helps keep the final bill down.

We got an OBC for the first time about four years ago, for a nice letter I sent after our Alaskan cruise, that offered a suggestion for remeding our only criticism. So I actually called Princess and asked what we could spend it on. When we booked our next cruise, I applied the OBC against it, and it was applied against our balance. It paid for our Hilo excursion for the three of us.

We have had as much as $800 OBC and manage to spend it all, but don't go over by much if we are sailing Royal Caribbean since we have the Concierge Lounge with free drinks in the evening.

I remember one cruise where we looked for things to use the OBC on because we didn't want to lose it! LOL! Our total bill on that cruise was $1.19!

Show off! On our last cruise even with the $22 a day charge to our room for mandatory tips, we still got by with less than $50 for a final bill - and that was for a 10 day cruise.
