    Caesar Salad

Has your cruise line gone overboard on Ceasar Salad?

HAL now has it is everyday for lunch.

HAL has it offered every evening in the dining room.

AND now HAL has it offered in the Pinnacle!!

NCL has it available everyday in the buffet and it is usually available every night in the main dining rooms. It has also been a mainstay on the LeBistro menu for years.

JMO, but NCL's has gotten so bland in the past few years.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

It's also available every night on Celebrity, RCCL and Carnival. The pizza station on Carnival offers it 24 hours a day.

The last couple of years HAL has been making their Ceasar Salad in BIG vats and putting it out as needed at the lunch buffet. We pass it up because it just gets too warm sitting around.

The dinner Caesar Salad is the same -- made hours in advance in large batches -- again it just sits there getting whimmpy and it is swimming in dressing. And you don't even get anchovies.

Now HAL has removed the delicious pear salad from the Pinnacle Menu and replaced it with the Caesar Salad. Here it is made tableside -- we have yet to try it here so can't comment on what it is like.

Princess also has it as a regular subsitute menu. I like it because it is always fresh and crispy, will a nice dressing not to bland or too sharp. If you want ask for a few anchovies on top.

On QE2 it was always a starter on the first night with chicken and then sometimes it re-appeared as a main course at lunch with salmon. Both were very nice.

As Reggie mentioned, RCL has it available every night for dinner. I usually have it about 5 out of 7 nights. Anchovies are available if you ask for them.
