    Port Time -- Closing Down

If any of you use Cruise Ship Calendar, Cruises, Port Schedules, Discount Cruises to check to see what ships are in port with you -- this is the message there:

    **** Attention PortTime.com Users ****

I regret to inform you that this site will be shutting down in a few days. I have some other opportunities to work on and unfortunately this site never generated the ad revenue I expected. I appreciate all the kind comments I have received, but I can't dedicate the time required to keep the site current. Thanks for using porttime.com

I have no idea what date this message was posted or when the shut down will occur. I just noticed it today.

I have another one that my DH found, but not sure if I can post it here. I got in trouble on CC for posting something I didn't realize was a no-no.

I do too -- it has been a big help when I need to answer about ships and ports for some people.

I found the site so much better than cruisecal which you now have to pay to use.

    I will miss port time.

You can post that site here -- this is not Cruise Critic which has a lot of "No No's".

All of us like to know about ports and sites that can help us.

As long as it is not a board or a web site with a board section, you can post the address. In fact, we would appreciate it!

Pretty unfortunate. It's a handy thing to be able to look up how many other ships are going to be in port the same day as you. I used cruisecal for my last cruise so I knew ahead of time.

    I like this one:

Weather observations and positions of ships at sea

But if you are aware of some still working and still free, go ahead and post them. If it's an imappropriate site, the stewards will take care of it.
