Question Football Games, Casino's, Sports Bars?

Three quick questions please from a first time cruiser:

We will be on RCCL 11/4 sailing to Western Carribbean. Since both hubby and I are football fans (read Football Pool participants", does anyone know if one can catch some of the games, or at least, get a few scores on the ship.

Re Casinos: Can you wager on any sports venue or is it strickly cards and slots? Also, do the machines print winnings in voucher form or do you get paid in coins if you win?

On the "Voyage of the Seas" ship, do they have anything like a sports bar? If so, does anyone know the name?

(If anyone happens to be sailing on VOS 11/4 out of Bayonne, please say Hi; would love to introduce ourselves!

    Tks e1!

    Hi Carol!

My experience has been that the Casino is strictly cards and Slots, maybe roulette - no sports book. Some ships (I don't know about your's in particular) have sports bars though and might be able to catch a game via satellite. I've travelled on the Norwegian Wind (NCL) which has one, but we mostly got South American sports or ESPN Worldwide which also tends to carry international sports as opposed to just American.

The ship's personnel tend to know what's going on though and some scores are printed on the daily "newsletters" you can pick up around the ship.

    Hope this helped!

Like Terry so eloquantly stated, the on-board casino's on most cruise ships are strictly slots and tables (don't know about the one/two-day casino ships out of Fla and Tx). Most ships have at least one bar with a large screen TV (maybe not a sportsbar per se although some have those also) on which you should be able to see football games and/or scores.

Haven't been on the Voyager, sorry!

Have a great cruise and enjoy yourselves!
