What is your favorite excursion you have done?

Do you have a favorite excursion you loved? Would you do it again? Is it a cruiseline excursion or one you booked on your on?

    Wow!
That is a really hard one to answer!!

Our day in Colonia de Sacramento (a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Uruguay) stands out, as well as our Falkland Islands 4 wheel tour out to see the Penguins!! We booked Colonia de Sacramento with friends, and the Penguin tour was booked through the ship. Other favorites that come to mind include our 2 day tour in St. Petersburg we arranged through Red October, the day we spent in Tuscany which was also privately booked, and snorkeling in Aruba with the Jolly Pirates (booked with the ship).

Helicopter uptp Mendenhall Glacier and walking around on the Glacier. Booked through the cruiseline.

That is the best excursion I have ever done and will do again!

Most of the time, we just go into the port and just walk around, shop, sightsee on our own. But one excursion that probably is our favorite is the trip up the White Horse Pass out of Skagway, AK. It was a comfy van and the tour guide very knowledgable and interesting.

Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Maarten. We are considering doing it again on our upcoming cruise.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

There are 2 that come to mind.

Renting a car in Hawaii and doing our own tour.

Flightseeing in Ketchican on a seaplane.

I have two. The America's Cup race at St. Maarten and going out to see the sperm whales at Dominica. Both were booked through the cruise ship.

    Seems a toss up.

One of the nicest days we've spent was in Xcaret. If you're scheduled to stop in Cozumel, get the heck off the island and take the ferry over to Playa del Carmen. It's a short hop to the Xcaret site. Most of the ships will book this one, or you can arrange it on your own.

The other favorite(s) were our private tours with Oscar Brown in Costa Rica. Definitely recommended if you find yourself scheduled there.

So far...A Taste of Mexico cooking class in Cozumel. Bar none, the best time I've had cooking in a long time! Small classes, we ate, drank , laughed and had a wonderful time. Booked through the ship (RCI).

Still want to do the zip lines.
