OK...
We go on these cruises, we eat, drink, and are merry. But how much eating are we doing? Do you eat just 3 square a day, or do you eat more than that? Fess up! We won't tell, and you are in good company!
So take the poll, and post int he thread. Feel free to mention the food that makes you cave in every time...going for seconds or thirds....or 4ths....
On previous cruises my personal routine has been to rise early, have danish pastries on deck with orange juice and coffee. Later when hubby eventually joins me we have a full cooked breakfast. We indulge in lunch and afternoon tea.
We always book late sitting for dinner so frequently can be tempted by wondrous things like pork ribs in buffet late afternoon early evening. We also can be found munching fresh fruit throughout the day.At least that bits good for us. Have to admit don't eat much at midnight buffets.
Always weigh heavier when I get off ship.
Middy.
As I only eat or twice a day only at home, I eat the same aboard ship. I find that if I overeat I feel quite unwell and get alot of discomfort, so no pigging out here.
Usually just the 3 meals but sometimes get tempted by a lucious pastry! Never eat midnight buffet but go for a look and maybe a coffee.

I confess! Once on our last cruise I ordered two entrees so I could have surf with turf. I confess that once I ordered two appetizers...I was too torn to decide. But I do have restraint...took photos of the midnight buffet but didn't eat. My kids did, but I didn't. I confess I ate a crepe between meals and loved it! I confess in advance that if a snack is out, I will try it! (albeit one bite) But I also tried to eat healthy lunches at the Windjammer - salads and such. I confess to enjoying myself!

Honestly, like Jim, just three meals. My lunches are delicious, but small and healthy. On one trip, I made umpteen trips to partake of the tasty lox and varieties of cheeses and rye crackers...yum!!! I am not a huge eater, but I do enjoy what I choose!!
On port days I like to have a meal ashore, in a 'local' restaurant or cafe.
Then, once back aboard, I am ravenous if I had an active shore excursion such as snorkeling all day. So I call room service for a sandwich or soup.
I always have late sitting, and sometimes I need something light to hold me over.
I go all out on cruises. After I wake up, I go to the dining room with everyone for breakfast. A little later I head up to the breakfast buffet for a mid-morning snack. Then I have lunch. After lunch I have about 2 small snacks in the afternoon. Then I don't eat for a couple hours prior to dinner. At dinner I have an appitizer, soup and/or salad, a entree (or a few), and dessert. Sometimes I go to the later buffets as well.
