Sometimes we check out the casino when we first board, just to see. But we don't go in when it's actually in operation. Too many smokers. Even one person smoking would bother us. Besides, I don't have any luck when trying to win, unless it's something I don't want (like at door prize drawings) or something for my daughter (recently won some Disney Princess DVDs for her).

When we sailed on the Paradise (during its non-smoking days), I did go into the casino while working on a Ginger Ale (we were having a pretty rocky time that night) and sat at one machine for a short while, lost, and then returned to the cabin where the rest of my family was asleep.

Nope, the casino is not the place for little old me...not when there is sunshine, sea and scenery outside to look at, lie in and be lazy

Big spender here.
We usually allot ourselves $20.00 gambling money for a 7 day cruise, but don't always spend it all.
Last cruise (only a three-day) I spent about $6.00, part of that in coupons.
The one before that (four days) I don't remember ever making it to the casino...

We do not spend much in the casino's. My hubby used to live in Las Vegas, prior to meeting me, and he worked in casinos and was a slot auditor. He's familiar with gaming laws, games, etc. The one thing I want to do, is play a little black jack. I have yet to do it, the tables are always full. I'm not a huge slot fan, but do drop a couple bucks there. He's more of a poker guy. But neither of us are smokers, we are former smokers, and the smell in the casino bothers us. (no offense to those who smoke - it's just a reaction we seem to now have) So we don't go much. Same with a night club. We love to dance, but go early, when the floor is less crowded and we can really dance, then split when there is barely room to wiggle. Also it is less smokey early on. (or we move off to the carpet, where the space is open to dance)

Looking at the two polls........the cruiselines don't make any money on CLF'ers drinking or gambling............spa maybe?

I don't bet in the casinos at all.I don't like to lose my hard earned money.On the other hand though,DH spends time in there while I'm getting my pampering done at the spa.
