Had to vote no. IT is a tragic accident but accidents happen no matter where you are. And like flying being on a cruise ship is actually very safe. More apt to get in an accident while in a car.

It will have no effect at all regarding my cruising, still safter than driving a car. As for Costa, I would not have sailed them before this so no change in that decision either.

I'm sure the experts will be looking at what happened and use that knowledge to make sure it doesn't happen again.

What's amazing is looking at the the comments posted on various news media threads on Facebook and there are some "that's why you'll never get me on a cruise" ones.

A reported plane crash don't stop me flying, so an incident like this will not stop me from cruising.

I was a bit leery about Costa until friends of ours sailed her last year and gave a glowing account. So I would like to try them one day for a different experience.
