Actually, we've been on a couple of Costa cruises many years ago and had a great time ... but they were both to the Caribbean. Even in the Caribbean with almost all English speaking pax, every announcement was given in five different languages which did become tiring. Since we haven't cruised on Costa for a long time, probably will not again ... but we will continue to cruise.

Since we are shopping for our next cruise already the answer is no. I agree with you that first timers might be a little worried, just like some people are freaked out to fly.

Yes, GreatEscapes cruising is safer than a car - esp with me behind the wheel!

We have already cruised three times since the accident. We also have several more planned over the next year or so. None, however, are on Costa. I did cruise on Costa many years ago & didn't like the meals so I haven't returned to this line. If I was offered a great deal, though, I would even consider it. It will probably be very safe now with all the negative publicity. Thanks for being my friend on the site. Gloria

I have already been on several cruises since the accident and have several more planned. This was a isolated problem but a wake-up call to the cruiselines. Gloria

Hearing the sinking of Costa did not affect me in any way shape or form. That was a tragic accident that is very rare for cruise ships. Would I go on Costa? Never had thoughts before but I'm sure it wouldn't deter me from it if curcumstances allowed. I am a cruise lover and nothing will ever change that.

    Of course not.
This is a CRUISE forum, so what do you wanna bet you're gonna get a bunch of "no's" here?

I imagine that if you asked the same question on an equestrian forum, the answers might be a bit different.

I am not surprised by the answers, I think it's too late we are all hooked.
