What do you usually do prior to a cruise? - Tan or not to Tan

When it comes to considering getting some color prior to a cruise, what do you usually do?

We have tried the tanning lotion which has mixed results (sometimes you look splotchy or orange.

Also done tanning beds, but really don't like the UV exposure given my high risk status.

Favorite thing to do is to get a professional spray on tan.

In our last Mediterranean cruise we used some factor 30, we did not burn, nor did we tan. Will be using it again in a couple of months’ time when we are back in the Middle East.

Nothing .... My only objective is to be "skin colored" and not look like lard!

    Mostly, I avoid the sun.

If it's warm enough here, I try to get some sun before we go. If not, I will scare you to death with my whiteness.

I voted other because I have two colors; white and red!

I always say I'm so white, I'm the only person I know who can get a sunburned butt while skinny dipping at midnight under a full moon!!

When I do go to the beach, I take a trowel and spread SPF 1000 on me!!

It's an absolute must for 30+ here in Australia and New Zealand! Best to go for a fake tan if you are cruising down this way - the sun is much stronger as we are near the hole in the ozone layer and the last thing you want to do is end up with a terrible tan line with your formal dress, or so sunburnt you can't enjoy the rest of your vacation!

SPF 2 inch concrete for me. I stay under cover unless I have to go outside and then I always wear a hat.

I neither seek the sun nor run from it. If I should tan so be it. Mostly I get yelled at for not drowning myself in spf whatever.
