Stupid US politics keep US travelers from going to one of the most interesting islands in the Caribbean. I wonder if the increased pressure from cruisers will eventually get the US to change it's attitude?

The debt crisis is a media disaster, not so much a real one. Japan has a far larger debt crisis than we do but they just keep barreling along.
Of course, if we had not given back billions of dollars to the rich with the Bush tax cuts and if we did not have to fund two trillion dollar wars we would be a lot better off.
Could not agree with you more about Cuba not being a serious threat. But then most of the problems with Cuba have been a direct result of the political influence all the Cuba refugees have had in the US since the 60's and the pissing contests we have gotten into since then.
I voted no. I would not be comfortable on a cruise that spoke minimal English.
