Instinct tells me I should do a CANE cruise first, but the maiden voyage for the Royal Princess is so tempting if she starts in the Western Mediterranean. I did pick out a cabin, but without a CANE itinerary on the 2013 schedule yet, I have no idea which ship that will be. I do know a cruise will have to wait until 2013 because I move to Jacksonville next year.

There is no time limit on the poll.

Thanks to whoever managed to do what I should have done earlier. Now people can vote if they like everything about cruising.

I think my reason is the most like McCruiser. It is the best deal out there. So many times, I was considering a land vacation, when a cruise opportunity, too good to be true, came along, and of course, I couldnt resist! This year, I am holding out and doing 2 land trips, already booked, so committed! I can't look at all those fabulous cruise deals being offered!

We should have been able to pick more then one, I chose moving hotel, but would have picked its about the ship too. I love going from place to place without having to pack and unpack. I couldn't choose all because I like flying and you still have to fly to get to cruises so it doesn't make me avoid flying and I'm not a beach man so I could not pick sun, sand even though relaxation is good part of cruise vacation. I have cruised to canada and will go to alaska so sun and sand are not reason for cruising.

I really don't like flying so if I can get on a ship from the Port of LA or another Californian port, that's good as far as I'm concerned (but there are some cruises on our dream list which will entail flying). Sun and sand aren't important to me. Am not a foodie. I do prefer a cruise over land vacations because we can take part in activities (trivia) and see shows without extra expense.

Meant to press all of the above. Accidently pressed moving botel...the other part is because of the ports.

I put other, but I guess all of the above would have worked too.

We sail because it is a resort that takes you to beautiful places. The food is good, the service is good, the ships are amazing. You do not need to worry about entertainment, where to eat, or anything else. You board the ship, unpack your bags (if you want) and just have fun. The prices are always fair and most of the itineraries are good. I can make a list of 1000 items but will not. I just cannot think of a cooler way to travel.

I voted *other*. For me, it's all about the peace and serenity that being on a ship out in the ocean provides. My life is pretty hectic and I admit to being a worrier. It's probably one of the few times in my life that for the most part, most of my worries are behind me. They usually find me once I go through customs or turn my cell phone back on, however while I'm gone it's very nice!
